Info on the LS2 Engine
GM introduced the LS2 in 2005 as the last Gen III motor to be rolled out, it was rated at 400hp and 400ft/lbs of tourqe and was only used for one year before GM shifted it to the GEN IV 58x archictecture. the LS2 was the first aluminum 6.0L motor gm had introduced and had a bore of 4.00" and the standard stroke of 3.622" The LS2 also introduced a newer connecting rod design that would later migrate to both the LQ4 and LQ9 iron block motors.
