The original LS1Tech owners planned a little something before they sold ls1tech.com. It's actually pretty smart, but I'm not sure it's really right on there part.

After LS1Tech got so big they then hatched a few more forums: Seat Stays Up, Truck Forum, and Planet LSX. They combined both users databases. They did all this basically because they knew they were going to eventually sell the forum for some big money. And afterwards, if users wanted to come over to Planet LSX they could, because all the members are still in the database. The word on the street is there's a lawsuit between the old owners and the new company that bought ls1tech. They are kind of mad because a lot of the users are migrating over to Planet LSX.

Shows you that you should really establish stuff in writing before you buy a website, there's so many ways you can lose.

It's going to be interesting what happens between the two, will LS1tech survive or fade out?

I think it will definitely survive because there's so many users on there now and all the urls are well established in Google's search engine, so basically there will always be an ongoing traffic coming to the site from the search engine no matter what. Doesn't mean the forum will stay active in the future though, definitely be interesting what happens.
