Battery to replace LS3 Engine?

You think one day the battery that's going in the Volt might one day replace the LS3 engine or whatever LSX engine's in your ride right now?

I think it's huge possibility! I'm not too fond if it because I love the sound and rumble that comes from my LS1 engine right now, but if I was to choose between the two for pollution and economical reasons, probably have to go with the battery.
