The word on the street is the Impala and Commodore could be going to rear wheel drive. But, the current W-Body Impala will stay in production through 2013. I really don't think GM will put it back to rear wheel, there's so many people that demand front wheel drive for traction reasons. If anything I think they might go with all wheel drive(AWD).
